Default Documents To Go saving files as .rem

Please Login to Remove!
I have documents to go 1.005 (030). Whenever I create, or edit a file in any application, it saves it as .rem the default is set to windows 97-2004 (.doc) how do I fix this?

Yes I did, I turned it off and everything is working fine now.
