Pardon the question - but I'm quite new to all of this.

Currently I have an 8330 with Sprint. My new employer has offered me a phone on their network, T-Mobile. I'm curious if I can make the switch but use my 8330 opposed to the T-Mobile Dash (I believe is what they offered me).

I understand I would lose sprint tv and perhaps GPS ... considering I would have a data package would this work or do I have to get a BB package from T-Mobile? My options are limited, but given it's funded by my employer I'd like to take advantage if my phone can come with me.

The 8330 is a CDMA device - it cannot be used on T-Mobile, a GSM carrier. You will not be able to switch it over.

You can get a good deal on a T-Mobile 8320 here in the classifieds.

Thanks guys - I appreciate the answers. I may look into the classifieds, but right now I'm leaning towards forfeiting the company phone.
