Wirelessly posted (overwhelmingly stressed)

Get a BB dataplan is all you can do as far as I know

Welcome to the forums.

Do you have the the option to compose MMS? If not, what OS are you running (Options > About)? You need at least 4.5 to send/receive MMS.

If you have 4.5 and are still not able to send/receive MMS, then you will need a BB data plan as EZ stated.

SMS is just text. To send pictures you need to MMS.

Yes, that is MMS.

SMS = Short Messaging Service (text only 160 character limit)
MMS = Multimedia Messaging Service (text with no limit, video, pics)

What OS do you have on your device (Options > About)?

I had the same type of problem but with a different carrier (T-Mobile). Everytime I got an MMS text message I get a hyperlink instead of the picture. When I called tech support they told me that the problem had to do with their network not recognizing my phone as an MMS enabled phone even though it clearly is.

He had me take a picture and send the MMS message to myself. As soon as I did that it worked fine.
