Filling up Fast?
Out of curiosity what with?
How much stuff can you download with your phone?
I have a 4 gig card in my phone and have for the past 6 months. I have 100's of ring tones (I have no idea why but They are fun to assign to my friends) several hundred photos and a couple hundred backgrounds. Not to mention a couple of albums. I Download most of this stuff on my PC and copied it to the card.
Look, I know I may sound critical but I really am not being critical, I just wonder what it takes to fill up a 32 or 16 for that matter gig card mounted in a Blackberry?

Anyway Just get a sandisk card and be done with it.

The following table lists BlackBerry Device Software versions and the supported media card size.
BlackBerry Device Software Media Card Size Limit
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0 Up to 2 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1 Up to 4 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2 Up to 4 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0 Up to 8 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0 Up to 8 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0.81 and later Up to 16 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.6.0 and later Up to 32 GB

Thanks for the info. I have a growing collection of MP3 files and AVI files that I like to listen to and watch on my phone. It's the only device that I always have with me, so it's very convenient to keep these files on it.

Ditto, I've found using my BB Media Card as an on the thumb drive so I may have to get a 16 GB Media Card myself.

Wirelessly posted

I've been converging devices as well. I need to get a larger memcard as my 4gig card is full of music... I feel your pain. I wish the player was designed a little better, but hey... IT'S A PHONE! ;)

MP3's man :P I've got a 4GB card and I my MP3 collection is almost 8GB. I'd live to have an 8GB card or even larger, especially on a phone that plays movies back better (Bold, Storm)

Ive got a 16GB card in my 8330. About 800MB free. The documents, ringtones and photos dont take up much. Its the videos & mp3s that really chew the available space. I've got an obnoxious amount of songs on mine (3700+) but it beats carrying an extra iPod-like device.
