So I updated to 4.5 software 2 days ago and now evertime I get a voicemail I also get a text message saying that I have a voicemail. Its a bit overkill and it never did this before.

Also the txt msg is weird. Only the sender field is populated and it says Voice Mail (_@)

I've also noticed that voicemail reminder on the BB desktop has that text too.. "(_@)"

Not sure if that even means anything. So I called AT&T and they said they never heard of the text msg voicemail thing before and suggested that I backup and do an advanced restore. Never done it before, but hopefully it isn't too difficult.

Anyways... is this going to be my only soultion?

This is usually a service provided by your Cell Provider. I have a phone connected with Rogers, and they send me they same stupid messages. As far as I know, you can call and have them stopped. Give AT&T a call, and hopefully speak to a more knowledgeable person.

Are either of you on a BES through your employer? If spo do you have both work and personal e-mails set up?

Just use it for personal use.

Well I guess I fixed it. Not doing it anymore. I reloaded 4.5 from the ATT website. My guess, as I can't remember, is that maybe I didn't install my provider specific 4.5 version. Maybe it was just a general 4.5 from BB.
