Blackberry or Laptop Morning All, I’m looking for some input from the forum. I have a pretty old laptop (2006) and thought about getting a new one. In looking for a new laptop I thought way not a new Curve. I am an Insurance Agent and Financial Planner. So here is the question. Is it possible to manage my client base with just a 8330 and very limited use on the laptop. Are there any reps out there that run their territory with just their Blackberry and no laptop? My problem is I need to keep extensive notes on ea of my clients and I don’t think any Blackberry works as a true CRM (Maybe I’m wrong). Any suggestions on what unit or software would be best to accomplish would be help. Thanks for the help, GoBlue 8-) |
Only your needs can answer that question.. After my laptop crashed I transferred everything to my BB so I do work alot more from my BB but I still use my laptop just not as much. 4.5 also contributes to that alot to HTML, DTG, but I do need my laptop for some things. Of course that is only something you can decide. |
I would look into two things, if I were you; Getting a bluetooth keyboard (I have the Freedom2), and also getting a program that specializes in what you are trying to accomplish. Maybe ACT! has a mobile version? Storing the data is not a problem. The BB will be fine for managing contacts and keeping short notes. But longer emails or summary narratives will take you a long time to thumb type and you will eventually lose your mind. You will also need a desktop PC or other PC to act as the chief repository for data / synchronization. R |
