Default Blackberry 8330 Google Map GPS

I'm wondering if anyone has figured out how to use the GPS function with Google Maps on their Verizon 8330 Curve without having to purcahse another addon plan and pay more money?

I have an unlimited data plan but everytime I use google maps for local searches I have to actually manually tell it where I am otherwise its worthless because it uses the last location I was on.

Thanks

Nope. Can't be done.

If you have version 4.5 of the phone OS on the device, you can use the internal GPS with BBMaps. But otherwise it's locked.

It should be able to triangulate though.

You can get a bluetooth GPS puck if you want to avoid paying for VZ Navigator.
