i got a voice mail yesterday that i checked. the icon is still on my screen. i got an email today. it told me i had 3 mails, (i have 2 emails on my curve) and i actually had 1 email in each account. theres the email icon with 1 next to it. i got into both email icons and theres no new emails. i dont know why the icons arent coming off... it's been 24 hours since i checked my voice mail and it's still there....

Saara, there is another location where the icon is stored. On my 8330 with Sprint (not sure if other providers have a different set up), there is an icon for emails that looks like an envelope with a globe on it. I read my emails there. There is a second icon that resembles the email icon but has no globe. If I've missed a call, after all the emails have been read there will be a missed call notification in that folder. When I delete it, the extra email notification goes away.

Voicemail notification is in the SMS folder. Deleting the voicemail itself won't delete the message in the SMS folder, you have to open it and delete the notification there.

At first it was a bit of a pain, now I just figure the 'berry wants to be really sure I know about ALL my messages.

i have a message icon that is hidden. i opened it and i was able to delete a msg that was in there.. so the email looking (envelope) icon is gone. however, the voicemail icon is still there.. i dont have any sms msgs in any folders in terms of my voicemail.. i've checked everything. i even took the battery out and restarted the phone and it's still there....
