Hi,

I loaded desktop manager on my Window Vista pc and I am having problems when I go to use the media functions. When I go to use the function (Roxia M), the desk top "Grays out" and I get a "not responding" comment in the upper right top corner. Eventually the mesage clears and the program responds, but if I click another action, the same thing happens. I've look at my CPU usage while it happens, but there is no indication of the problem. I used the version that came with my curve, and then I un-installed and downloaded the latest version and still have the same problem. I would appreciate any suggestions to fix this because I do want to use this application with my curve.

Did you download/install the media version? Sounds like you go the one without media support.

Yes, I did install the version with media support. I will reveiw your links. I appreciate your input.

I noticed a problem with Roxio Media Manager on my Vista 64bit system. My solution, which Im glad I went to for many reasons, was to just use Windows Explorer to move/copy/delete media files from my BlackBerry microSD card. I find it to be the quickest, most intuitive way to work with files as the device shows up like any other drive with a drive letter assigned to it.

P.S. Since then I've only installed version of DM sans Media Manager. Saves on space too!

Thanks for the responses. I was able to fix the problem by going into "Services" (Start/control panel/Administrative Tools/Services) and setting all the Roxia services to start automaticly at startup then rebooted. A few of them were set to manual.

Chris, great idea just to use Windows Explorer. Didn't even think of trying. It will just treat the device as an external source.
