That's the enhanced call audio. It's either bass, treble or normal.
You can turn this off by going to Call Log > Options > Enhanced Audio > Disabled.

Press the green call key, you should be in your call log.
Press the menu key
Select options
Scroll down and highlight enhanced audio
Press the trackball
You should have 2 options, enable and disable.

So you don't have General Options or Enhanced Audio in your Call Logs Options?
