What size card? What OS on the Laptop? What OS on your BB?

BTW, I have never had to format an SD card for my BB, PDA or PC.

If you're using a older operating system (OS) on your BlackBerry, then it will have a problem reading that size sd card.

OS is the operating system for your BB. You can hit ALT+(left)CAPS+H and look at "App Version."

If it doesn't format in your computer it's probably a bad card.. I'd get it swapped it..

I had a similar issue with one of thier 8 GB USB Drives, it was bad striaght from the box.. Did a google search and I was not the only one.

all brand new cards need to be formatted, regardless of what you are using them for

False... I've never had to format a SD to get it work.. Or any type of removable media.
