Default Why does ringer change when charging on laptop/Home charger

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

When I plug the Curve into the USB to charge it or
to the home charger, the ringer tone changes to one that I havent set.

How can I get this to stay at the one it rings at when not charging?

thank you

Wirelessly posted (Tmob's cheapest BB customer)

Are you using a custom ringtone and is it being stored on your microSD card? Chances are that's the case. When you plug the phone into be charged, the microSD card is inaccessible, so the phobe has to resort to its standard ringtones which are stored in the device memory.

Actually you know what...it might have something to do with the mass storage mode. I used to have it on Yes for auto enable when connected, and the microSD card becomes inaccessible. But I recently switched over to prompt, and usually click no when prompted, and I'm able to access it even when plugged in. Try turning OFF the auto enable when connected. See if that works.
