So a friend of mine was given a bricked curve, and he brought it to me, and asked me if i could take a look at it.

It's completely dead. When plugged in, the LED does not even light up. Nothing happens. He thought it was just the cord he was using, but it's not that. I tried to swap out a different battery, no go. I plugged it into a PC and it doesnt get recognized at all. Absolutely nothing happens... Is the only option at this point to take/send it to HorizonWireless? is there anything else I could try from home first?

He doesn't even want it back since he couldnt get it to work. So I figure, it'll be a great back up for me, if I could only get it running... Ironically, this is the 2nd curve given to me. But the first one had major water damage and would only light up the screen in white lights, not even a white screen. And this one is visually in much better condition then the other one I was given. To me, this one would be more worth the $ I would put out to get it reflased or whatever needs to be done.

If it does nothing after being plugged in for a while, it's dead.

thats what i said... so I guess I should look to dump this properly?? So now that's 2 that have eluded me,

Donate it to a phone recycling program. It can be scrapped for any salvagable parts.

I was thinking of swapping the housing with the other one. So I might still be able to salvage somethings out of these 2, thanx everyone!
