Default Uploading your contacts to an online source

Please Login to Remove!

Seeing as our BlackBerry's are always connected to the net, I would see it as a complete waste if we couldn't backup at least our contacts directly to an online source.

For example, is there an app that allows us to backup our contacts and then email the backup file to an email account of our choice?

I know that we can backup our BB via the Desktop Manager, but wouldn't it be great if we could do it without having to plug our BB in?

If there is a way to do this on the 8300, please let me know.

Kind regards
Primeous

Not sure if you will find exactly what you want, but Gmail and Yahoo both have a contact sync app that you may use to sync your contacts wirelessly to their server.

Try SmrtGuard SmrtGuard :: Your Smartphone Guardian™ it does an OTA backup of all your PIM information. It is currently in Beta but it is a very good aplication. It also let you pin point the location of your BB and even do a remote wipe if stolen or lost.

I user the Gmail option, I have an msn.com account, but maintain a gmail address just to use the sync. Just remember that if you have it setup for auto-syncing and delete a contact, it will update the online list, so it's a good idea to periodically connect to a pc, I try to do it once a week.

For simplicity and consistency +1 on Google and GoogleSync
