Angry 8310 freezing on power up

Please Login to Remove!

Bought a 4GB SDHC card. Installed. Phone goes through the hour glass post and then freezes forever on the AT&T screen and will not go any further. I can take the gig card back out and it powers up just fine.

Curve 8310 running v4.5.0.110

I can put the sd card in my computer and see where the Blackberry formatted it and setup folders and subfolders.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like the card needs to be formatted in the blackberry under the media card section in options.

I also am a fan of the beta software which may help as well.

I am having the same problem with a 4GB card I bought new. Even tried formatting it in my husband's Curve and it does the same thing (I know his works because he has a 2GB in it already). I wonder if they have a problem with the 4GB. Can anybody help?
