Please help! I am new to Blackberry and have been fuddling around figuring things out as I play around with it.

I have the BB Curve 8330. I have the Desktop Manager downloaded and have the synch settings set to Outlook for all options. I also have gone in and set it as a "Two-Way sync" and have set it to "Transfer All Scheduled Items" while "Removing Past Alarms". I have also gone into the Map Folder and have removed the Outlook Calendar and then re-added it.

All other apps for Outlook synch flawlessly; Contacts, Notepad, Tasks. I dont know what else to try.

During the sync process does it completely overlook Calendar, or does it just not find anything to sync?

Not sure what happened but almost a month later it is now working! LOL

do you have FACEBOOK on your blackberry?
because facebook has an option to sychronize the device calender with his own one. and if it does, when u sychronize the BB with out look, it just wont. you need to unistall facebook, and to delete the calender facebook service record from OPTIONS,ADVANCED,SERVICE BOOK.
but be careful, when u do all that, make sure to backup the device right away just in case. because if it is ur case (things i mentioned before), all that BB backups u did before, wont include the calender record
