Unhappy Outlook 2000 Sync to 8330

Please Login to Remove!

I'm a BB newbie. Until this week I've always used a Palm Pilot and made the leap to new technologies (for me anyway). I got the Palm info synced to Outlook without a problem. Now, I'm having problems getting the Outlook Calendar, Task, Address Book to sync with the Curve. For some reason when I run the configuration>sync function it does not recognize the existence of Outlook. It only locates my old Outlook Express address book. I'm running Outlook 2000. Is that part of the problem . . . or am I missing something . . . somewhere.
Thanks!

Were you using the Palm Desktop? You might have to import your BB stuff from there. I migrated from Palm with no loss in data, using Outlook 2003

Desktop Manager versions above 4.2 no longer support Outlook 2000. This is likely your issue.

I'm running BB Desktop Manager 4.5. and a Palm version that required me to export through the CD to Outlook. I thought the old Outlook 2000 might be the issue. Looks like it's time to upgrade.
Thanks for your insights.

Wirelessly posted (8820)

The newer version of DM for certain an issue with the older Outlook. You may be happy with DM version 4.2. Worth a try before spending money on Outlook.

I'm for upgrading Outlook. There has been a lot of improvement made between 2000 and 2007. Way past time.
