Default 8320 Curve Constantly goes from EDGE to edge (Tmobile)

I did some searching and didn't find any results that helped me. My problem is that constantly, at least twice a day, my phone will get stuck in "edge" mode instead of "EDGE" and I won't get any emails. I get about a dozen emails every hour so if an hour goes by I notice it and do a battery pull and it's fixed but I can't use the phone for about 5 minutes while it reboots. Very frustrating having to pull the battery twice a day, especially with all the rain in FL lately (don't worry I don't do a battery pull in the rain, I go indoors first lol).

Does anyone know if this is a common issue I just have to deal with?

Specs:
OS v4.5.0.81 (Platform 2.7.0.78)
Located in Orlando, Florida where Tmobile has 3G (even though there's no BB's to use it, my point is that I have great coverage here).

The phone will not go back into EDGE mode even if I were to walk outside once I notice it or even if I wait 30 minutes. I have also tried turning the connection off and on, no luck. A hard battery pull is the only solution.

Thanks!

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry Curve 8900)

I recommend upgrading the operating system to the latest version to see if that will help. Might be worth it.

I see that the os IS the latest version. I had the same problem, even after an os reinstall. I even tried a downgrade. Same problem. My UMA also did the same thing.I did the recommened troubleshooting from tmobile, and since mine was still under warrenty I got a replacement. And so far so good. Its been about two months and working good.

Mine has been doing the exact same thing for almost a week now. After several calls with T-Mobile tech support (I feel compelled to add them to my holiday shopping list now) I've been set up with a Warranty Exchange.

Like you, this issue has driven me absolutely crazy. Good luck with yours!
