Default Any Advice on Verizon 8330?

Folks:

Any Advice on Verizon 8330?

My company is in the process of setting up Verizon as our corporate BlackBerry Cell Phone provider...

...I believe they are going to be providing every user (or almost every user) with the BlackBerry 8330 (the one that has CDMA 3G). And they are all going to have BlackBerry Enterprise Service for Exchange e-mail

This makes me very happy , because right now I spend extra time trying to support 10 to 20 different phones all with different data plans. Moreover, they are all on BIS...in a word...yuck!!!

I have not played with this phone a whole lot. Any advice people can give is helpful. Any comparisons between other Curve / BlackBerry phones is even more helpful.

Thanks for your help.

Just take some time on these forums and other online resources to read up on the device and shortcuts, hints, tips and tricks. There is a bit of a learning curve if you're new to bb, but it's well worth the time spent learning. Check the faq's here first and go from there. It's been a great device. Our company has allowed us to choose any device we want, but 75% of the company is still on the 8330 because it's such a great device.

JSanders,

kjb0204,

Although I am not "new" per se to BlackBerry I have not spent a lot of time playing with the 8330...

Glad to hear that you have a had a lot of success with it...sounds like a great move.

I have three of them and think they are one of the best BB's I have had in the past few years.

They are durable and easy for the users to learn.
We switched all of our department owned devices to the Curve when Verizon got our data contract. We had a mix of different Blackberry devices and all love the Curve.
