My battery drains fast and continues to drain even when phone is off. Last night it was at 35% when I shut it off and this morning it was at 0.

Battery is 2 weeks old and worked perfectly for the first week. I bought the new battery because of the same problem with the previous one.

Any thoughts on what's happening?

It's not a battery problem, I am betting, but the user needs some tweaking.

I learned a bit from reading that page but I'm still perplexed how a battery loses a 35% charge is 7 hours when shut off-

Do you have any applications running the back ground? that will drain the battery pretty quickly.

Hold down the left alt key and hit the back button to bring up the application switcher.

there are always an amount of apps that will NOT close... browser, call log, to name a couple.

That helped a lot

5 actually Browser, BBM, Messages, Call Log, Home... Perhaps I should have been a bit more specific, as far as an IM programs, games, and so forth.

Also make sure the browser is not at web page.
