Default I need your help with a very fast flashing red indicator?

Please Login to Remove!
When I'm on a phone call the red light blinks extremely fast. It's never been blinking this fast. Can anyone PLEASE tell me why it's doing this?

Welcome to the forums.

Have you tried removing the battery for 30 seconds to see if that clears up the issue? Have you installed any new 3rd party applications/themes recently?

Is there anything going associated with the red light when it starts to flash? New messages, emails, etc?

It does that when I try to take a video.

It's a company issued phone so nothing has been added by me. I tried it after taking the battery out and it still does it. Our IT dept. doesn't have clue.

There is a setting on the BES in the IT Policy for that....let me see if I can dig that up.

EDIT: Found it. In the IT Policy on the BES, it's under Security Group Policy -> Force LED Blinking When Microphone Is On. Here's the full explanation of that setting:

Specify whether the BlackBerry device indicates that its microphone is on (for example, when a phone call is in progress or a voice note is being recorded).

If you set this rule to True, the BlackBerry device LED blinks rapidly when its microphone is on.
If you set this rule to False, the BlackBerry device does not indicate that its microphone is on.

If you do not set this rule, a default value of False will be used.
