saving voice notes

Question saving voice notes

Please Login to Remove!
i am attempting to save voice notes on my curve, and hopefully have ability to acess them through the desktop manager, to save on my computer

maybe even change them to a wav file too

i searched, but only got info on the pearl, with a lot of dead ends

anyone have any idea on how to do this, as when i save a voice memo, it doesnt appear within desktop manager

Are the voice notes saved on your media card or device memory?

Go to Media > Voice Notes and you should see all of your voice notes. Highlight a voice note, press the menu key and select properties. It will show you where it's saved.

If on the media card, you can enable mass storage mode and copy the file from your media card to your PC. If it's on the device memory, you will need to use Roxio Media Manager.

they are saved on the device memory. i have a 2g chip that i would like to store them on...how would i do that?

even when i go through roxio media manager, they dont show up

Media > Menu Key > Explore, then browse to your voice notes, highlight one, press the menu key and select move, then browse to your media card. You will have to do each voice note individually.

i move them to my media card in the voicenotes, they dont show up on media manager

i then moved them to the music section, and to ringtone section, but they still dont show up.

probably not recognized as a media file?

it already does show up as a removable drive on my PC. Mass storage has been enabled since i got my card over a year ago.

i think im just going to give up and find another way to voice record and burn on a CD

the problem i am having is that they dont show up when i am connected to media manager. i think it might be a file that is not recognized as a media file

Once on your media card, you don't need Media Manager.

With Mass Storage Mode enabled, connect your device to your PC. Then click on My Computer. You should see your device as a removable disk. Go to that disk and browse for your files. From there you can copy the files from the card to your PC. Media Manager is not needed at all.
