Installed the new OS for my 8300 last night and now when i get a text message it wont let me read it, it doesnt even come up with the message in the SMS box, just on the main screen it says i have a messgae but when i look in there i have no messages.

whats the problem?

Try a battery pull to see if the sms indicator goes away.

Do you have your SMS and Email messages separated? Go into Messages -> Options -> General Options. What is SMS and Email Inboxes set to? And what theme are you using?

Have you tried unhiding all of the icons to see if there is an SMS icon?

when i go into the sms options it is set to theme controlled? is this good or do i need to change it to combined or seperated?

p.s all my icons are unhidden

Try changing it to Separate and see if you get a new icon for SMS messages....

yeh, i have got the messages now, but how do i get them to go in the orignal sms folder, if i can at all?

Glad you found the message, but not sure I follow that last question. Do you mean you want the sms messages to show in the Messages folder where your regular email is found?

Yes, change the SMS & Email Inboxes to 'Combined'.

Combined should give you what you want, everything in the Messages folder on your bb.
