Default 9 inboxes in folder list

Please Login to Remove!

I just switched from an 8830 to 1 8330. I used the desktop manager to switch devices after I set up my email accounts. Now when I go to email and VIEW FOLDERS, I have 9 INBOXs listed. They all have a subfolder titled SPAM and nothing else. Anyone have any ideas. Not really effecting performance, but it is a P I T A.

Thanks

Wirelessly posted

I have read this post twice and still do not uderstand what the problem is that you are encountering?

What are you trying to do that brings you to the e-mail folders?

IIRC the backup utility in Desktop Manager can be used to wipe out the folder structure on the device. I think it should rebuild. I've done this a couple of times when I've had multiple Deleted Items folders. These days I just don't worry about it any more.

Violator - I'm not trying to do anything in particular except stay organized. I was actually deleting my phone logs when I noticed it.

takeshi - thanks for the input, I'm not sure what iirc is, didn't see it on the backup function, or how i would use it to fix this problem.. Any more on this? Ran the backup still have the folders

thanks

(iirc - If I recall correctly) The folders have always been there and unless you go searching for them or looking for a filed, or mis-filed message - you will never notice them. They are associated with the corresponding e-mail accounts unfortunately the naming of the folders by BB is atrocious!

There really is not a "problem" to fix?

I receive email from 4 different accounts on my bb. Still seems like I have to many Inboxes on my BB. Besides the fact that no emails display in the BB when I click on any of the 9 "Inbox: folders.

this is where I go if i want to delete all my phone logs

You don't have to go into View Folders to delete phone logs, just click on the icon called Messages and the phone log should show up in there. You can mass delete everything in there by highlighting the top date in the list and pressing the Options button and click on Delete Prior. It will delete all the messages and phone log on the list prior to that date.
