Default 8700 user considering upgrade to pearl?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey all,
after opinions here please!!
currently using an 8700 on PAYG inthe Uk on orange, (can use all functions but means no email on the go which i am not bothered about!) and am really after much the same but with a camera and ideally wifi,
now i've been looking at the Sony ericsson P990i and P1i as alternatives as they all do much the same and are similar in prices,

i love the screen on the 8700 over the others but they have touch screen and is greta to have a slightly larger keyboars than on the SE phones, but also like the ease of use on the SE models, (used to be a P800, P900 and P910 user prior to the BB)

now am i right that for wifi i'd need to get the 8320 over the 8310?? or is it possible to flash the 8310 to 8320 spec??

any help or advice and opinions would be Gratefully recieved!

Thanks in advance of replies,

Timmo.

the 8300, 8310, 8330 physically lack the wifi chip... you can't flash in hardware lol

and the 8300 series is named curve, pearl is the 8100 series

thanks for that, i know some models you can flash them up to the next model as such, but thought i'd ask to make sure!
so the 8320 has the chip?? (according to the specs on the blackberry home page it has it over Gps on the 8310)
just wanting to make sure before i buy one!

Full specs are always available at Blackberry.com. Updating the OS does not add/remove hardware as others have mentioned.
