Default Sending and receiving vids via BB

What is the recommended length/size for sending vids. I was gone for a week and only successful vid i could send my wife was about 20 sec or under. And she tried to send me a vid and i got a

VID IS TOO LARGE TO VIEW ON THIS DEVICE.

3 MB is the max attachment size AFAIK.

Thats not too bad but is that with a FULL signal and do you have to email the vid or can i text it? My wife sent me a vid and it said "file is too large to view on this device"
