Rename application icons?

Sprint replaced my defective Curve 8330m today. I'm reinstalling all my apps and cleaning up my desktop. My Sprint Navigation icon is now named "sn_rim_version.Sprint Navigation." My Email Setup is named "prov.bwc.GPMDNA5C." There a few others like these. How do I change them back to normal?

In some cases you may not be able to rename them especially if they were pushed to your device by your carrier.
