I have an 8320 by T-Mobile. I have a monthly plan where I get unlimited email with no internet access. I get my gmail email just fine. But I've seen a gmail app that looks a bit more like your gmail inbox on a browser. Is there anyway to get that app and have it work with out having a full data plan???

Probably not, data and e-mail are two different services as far as the phone company is concerned. So if they give you only e-mail, then the gmail app will not work as it needs data.

True, I should mention though that because you have a 8320, you could try getting your internet access via wifi. You can connect your device to a wireless network and try for data that way.
