Smile Speed dial whilst locked

Please Login to Remove!

I have a user who had an 8300 but has upgraded to 8310. He has had to readd all his speed dials however he also insists that in the past he could do speed dial whilst the device was locked. I know how to set up Speed dials but cannot find anyway to tell it to dial whilst locked. Can anyone help me please?

That would sort of defeat the purpose of locking the keyboard, wouldn't it?

No! The device allows you to make calls whilst the device is locked down for email and the net etc, however if you cannot use your speed dials sometimes i can be an inconvience.,

Does anyone else have any advise

+1 for defeats the purpose. I lock my keyboard to prevent accidentally making calls, sending email, etc etc. I've never been able to speed dial with the keypad locked* on any of my BB's.

* Except, of course, unless I needed to make a 911 call or used a BT headset to dial.
