Question Is there a way to make accent marks on the Blackberry Curve 8330?

Everything I've read tells me to simply hold down the letter key of my choice and then scroll left or right on the trackball until I get to the special character I want. However, scrolling on the trackball (left or right, or up and down) just scrolls between the capital and lowercase of the letter. Has anyone had this problem? What can I do?

Welcome to the forums.

What letter are you trying to get an accent over? Try multiple keys. If there is no accent available, then it will only swap between upper and lowercase. Q, for example, does not have any accents available; but then try N, it will have some.
