Default Lost my sheets to go? (app loader did unrequested maintenance?)

Please Login to Remove!

Hi - A while ago I updated Documents-to-go to 1.007 and got the free "sheets-to-go" (excel) app.

Today, I decided to try BBAlerts, so I downloaded the files to my PC, went into the BB desktop/App Loader, browsed to BB alerts files, and selected the .alx file. The next screen from the App Loader (what it was going to change) said only "add BB alerts", but when I ran, it spent most of the time removing various Docs-to-go files from the BB, and when it was done, sheets-to-go was no longer there.

Admittedly I was using the free version of DTG, and maybe Sheets was a time-trial? But I still don't get why it did this unrequested "maintenance", and I wonder if I could have avoided if I did an OTA install of BBalerts?

What happened here? Why was apploader touching DTG files when it said it was just adding BBalerts?

I did a backup before i started today, can/should I get back to where I was?

Thanks!
/j

I can try that - but I still don't get why, when asked to do a completely different task (like add BBalerts) it would UNINSTALL components of DTG.

Is it possible that it's because I downloaded the DTG upgrade on-line and so it didn't think I should have it? I'd really like to avoid having this recur

thx!
weird though - they say it's fixed in Desktop manager 4.7 - and I'm running 4.7, is there more than 1 "4.7" release?
