Default Sync w/Windows Mail (w/o internet connection)?

Please Login to Remove!

I am trying to sync my address book w/my PC (Windows Vista) and have Windows Mail that is not setup (don't use it for email). When I try to sync via DM v4.7, I take the following steps:

Synchronize\Config\Synchronization\Synchronization

It starts and then says I must have an internet connection to go any further. Is there a work-around for this??? I am deployed to the Arabian Gulf on a ship and cannot connect my personal laptop to the internet but would like to add my BB contacts to my IPOD Touch as a backup. And yes, I backup my device regularly anyway.

You can sync your contacts fine in that manner, but you must have your windows address book setup to do so.

Thanks for the response but maybe I was not clear. I get "The computer must be connected to the Internet in order to initially configure synchronization settings..."

I'm looking for a work around if one is available. Otherwise, how do I setup Windows mail to do what you suggest? It's setup as far as I know but if I'm doing something wrong and your answer is correct, I want to be sure.
