Question Poor reception of signal...

Please Login to Remove!

Hi! my wife and i both have Blackberrys - mine is an 8800 and she has the 8700g both using t-mobile signals. Tonight at dinner, my wife and I were sitting next to each other at the TGI Fridays. Her phone was able to get a signal and browse the internet, while my phone could not. I find this puzzling and disturbing, that two phones side by side can have different reception. any of you BB folks encountered this before? is there a difference in the quality of the antenna circuits between the two phones? (sorry if this is a bit out of place, I just realized it was in the wrong area. my bad!) Any suggestions or explanations?
Thanks!

I've seen a similar post or posts like this before in this forum. It's hard to say what's the cause. I have heard before that there is a possibility that because your device is newer, it may be more "prone to interference" because it has a lot of technology built into it -- bluetooth, wifi?, cell, etc. Whereas your wife's 8700G is simpler (older).

Found this old post with a similar issue: newer device vs 8700.

Different signal strength

It's not uncommon. You'd think that it would be identical for both but that's not always the case.
