Hi! i was wondering if you can help me guys to find a program/hack that will enable me to lock my blackberry keys on numbers or letters. For example, I am writing an email, so even if i accidentally tap alt+shift, the numlock will not activate. Just like numlocker for PC's that you activate so that you will force set your input character to letters or numbers only..Hope you can help me here..

Did you press the left shift? Cause the right one is caps lock I believe. Otherwise try a battery pull and see if that makes a difference.

That's correct. If Num Lock and Caps Lock don't work for you in an email then get that sorted out.

alt + left shift = number lock
alt + right shift = caps lock

To answer your question, I don't think there is a program that does what you are asking. You will more than likely just have to develop a feel for the keypad and as time passes you hit those keys only when you need to lock numbers or capital letters. In the mean time, when your trying to type something like John, but end up with either JOHN, or ;+:, then you'll just have to backspace and unlock the symbols or caps and try again.
