Hello my version is v4.2.2.89 (Platform 2.4.0.39)

I tried to upgrade using the BB browser & Opera mini, but it says use IE 6 or greater, I used the "Microsoft IE" emulator. There is also a message to install Active X control, but I have no clue how to do it on the BB.

Guys, somebody Please help me upgrade the OS either through Bluetooth or the browser, as my USB is broken, I cannot connect to Desktop Manager. Much Good Karma to You who helps me!! too many issues!!

Sorry. No karma. Without a USB connection, you can't upgrade to v4.5, the latest version of the handheld OS.

Why cannot I get a link to download form the phone itself? I just don't understand. can somebody please help? Can this be done through Bluetooth & my laptop, once I get that working of course?

There's absolutely no way to do it without a USB connection to a computer running Windows.

You will have to get the USB port fixed, get a different device, or be content with 4.2 unfortunately.
