Default keyboard lights

Please Login to Remove!

hello there, i just got an 8310 and among a lot of things i don't know there is one that has been bugging me...

How do i illuminate the keyboard, i came to think it is automatic like, it can detect wether I need it to light up or not, but that doesn't seem to work causa i find myself texting in the dark most of the time, and sometimes it just lights up and then off it goes again.

can someone help me out?

thank you

Wirelessly posted

Its suppose to be on when you touch the keyboard, automatic. So you might have a defective device.

i just did and when I turned it back on the light went on while you see the hourglass turn (it turned for a while and the light was always on) and then the phone arrived at the OS and it did some kind of checking the system or something but it was super fast and I could barely read it and it went off and form that point has been off (the keyboard lights i mean)

i googled it and i found 2 or 3 cases of the same problem, both of them caused by the latest update to the OS, I will try to downgrade a step and see what happens.

That's all normal. The really fast check was a OS/system security check.

Another to check (though I dont remember if it's connected) but do you have your device set on Auto Dim?

Options>Screen/Keyboard>Automatically Dim Backlight
