| You may have a corrupt Messages database.
You can clear the messages by doing the following.
Launch Desktop Manager, connect your device to your PC, go into Backup/Restore, select Advanced. You should see a column on the right side with your device databases. Highlight Messages and click the clear button. Do the same and for SMS if you need to.
This will erase all of your messages.
