Hello everyone,

My employer just gave me to a BB 8350i and I'm having problems with the caller ID. When I receive an incoming call it shows unknown number for all calls. I have the number saved in my contacts but it still shows unknown number. I went to call log>options>smart dialing and I have the +1, my area code, and 10 for the length. Am I missing something here or looking in the wrong place. Can you please give me some options to try?

Are you on a BES through your employer?

I'm not sure what you mean by BES??? It's a state job and we go through SprintNextel. does that help any?

I can tell you that others have the same phone I have at work and they have the caller ID functioning correctly, which is why I'm hoping it is only a setting or something that I can correct.

BES means BlackBerry Enterprise Server which gives you instant email, wireless sync with messages, calendar, etc. More details here:

Since others at work have caller ID working correctly, I would compare your settings with theirs.

The thing that occurs to me is the formatting of the numbers in your phone book. Do you have them with the 10 digit form or 7 digit, or with the +1 in front? That shouldn't make a difference, but the caller id comes up weird when I'm in an international roaming situation. I don't put the area code in so maybe that is something to check with others.

Also, have you tried a battery pull?
