Default Turning email off completely

Please Login to Remove!

Hey folks.

So, I just switched from TMo to US Cell last night, and upgraded myself from an 8100 to an 8330 (and got the b/f his first Crackberry, the 8230 Flip).

This morning we made our "setup call" or whatever, and now have the access to our internet, but it wouldn't let us go anywhere until we had set up email accounts. So I set mine up with my gmail, but now I'm worried that all of the emails I get to my main account will come through the phones email program. I definately do not want that, as I use Googles downloadable gmail program.

Can I turn off the email entirely so it only comes in using the gmail program?

Whee! Thank you. I've been feeling so dumb as an "existing" blackberry user trying to set up my own new phone and answer my b/fs questions too (which is why I made him sign up for an account here...LOL).
