| Newbie troubles with WIFI for Curve 8320 Please Login to Remove! Hey There,
I am a new BB user. I just got 8320 last week. Iam having trouble connecting to WIFI @ home. Every time i try to connect to a hotspot i get error msg saying "Reason: fail to associate with the network". It is an unlocked at&t phone. I tried connecting to hotspots with and without SIM card and still have same problem. At home, I am using DI 524 router. and iam a pay as you go customer with Rogers Wireless. Can someone please help me out with this problem.
The msg i got for the WIFI connection error says " Device failed to associate with AP"
I was reading at some posts earlier, they mentioned something about MAC address of BB device, could that be the problem since ive didnt introduce my BB to the router?
I reset my router and remove the WEP security and i still get the same error msg
"fail to associate with tthe network".
I went to starbucks few hours ago and checked their hotspot and i was not able to connect to their network either...
I borrowed my brother sim who has a data plan with rogers and neither the WIFI nor the Rogers browser works on my phone.. I dont know whats wrong with it!
Everytime i get the same error msg iam just so frustrated with this.
When i clicked on the WIFI status, i get "Fail to connect to AP"
DO you think it is the blackberry problem or just the network?
