Unhappy Wireless Update Option?

Please Login to Remove!

I am using v.4.5.0.138 and just noticed for the first time today that a Wireless Update option was added to OPTIONS - ADVANCED? I wonder if it's better to go this route in the future for OS updates or just download the file and install through DM (deleting the vendor.xml, etc.) like in the past?

If/when Verizon releases a newer OS for your device, and they make it available OTA, then you will be able to utilize that feature.

Somehow I think I'd want to download it and keep it local anyway 'cause if I ever wanted to downgrade and I had updated OTA, I'd be out of luck! However, if they don't offer a downloadable file in the future, then we're really out of luck!

Thanks!
