Question 8320 Curve - Orange UK - AP4.5.0.162(255)

Please Login to Remove!

Anybody know what's the most reliable version of OS for the 8320 Curve?
I am currently running PL2.7.0.103/AP4.5.0.162(255).
Tried all kinds of flavours over the 14-months I've had my Bby.
Battery life is poor, and Reception is not good!
- By Reception I mean the Signal Strength / RF Performance seems poor.
I am an RF Engineer, and I believe the Calibration might not be optimal.

BlackBerryForums is a Great source of information, any ideas guys & girls?

Cheers.

I think you've got the latest version. I think there might be 4.5.0.163, but I doubt that would be the fix.

Have you checked the threads on battery life? Closing programs and things like that?

Oh, one thing that was a complaint way back is with bluetooth on, battery life was extremely bad. It seemed like the phone would try to connect with anything bluetooth nearby. And I mean unpaired devices like other people's phones or bluetooth headsets. In my case my Playstation 3.

Thanks "monkeypaw" for your suggestions.
I know its not Bluetooth as I have that enabled only when I am driving, and that is not a lot.
I have tried various versions, but was wondering what version everybody else was using.
Seems to have been quite a while since any updates to this OS, wonder if we have been forgotten by RIM?
