I just recently bought a 8330, and the last owner's email is still on it, and when I try making a new account, it says "This phone already has an email assigned to it" or something like that...

I need to know how to change the previous owner's email to my current email.

You need to have the previous owner contact Sprint and have them release the PIN.

Actually the previous owner needs to call and cancel their BIS account. That will release the PIN and ESN so you can use it.

However, if the account is in arrears or the device has been reported as lost or stoeln, you have an expensive paperweight.

You can call Sprint yourself and explain you bought the device used and the PIN is still registered to another account. They should do it for you, they don't have to, so be nice
