Any help is greatly appreciated. I attempted to download YouMail OTA from the Blackberry App. store and received the error message "The application YouMail has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy".

I'm running all updated handheld software and DM. I have tried everything (soft pull/ hard pull, everything). My phone is locked and can't access anything except incoming calls.

I wanted to wipe the handheld; although, cannot access anything on the handheld nor will my BB connect to the DM Manager.

The message would seem to indicate that you have an IT Policy on your device. Have you ever had it BES? Did you buy it new?

No, I never had BES and bought the phone brand new from TMO under my BIS account 1 1/2 yrs ago.

If I remove the IT Policy; will the phone still connect to the DM? My computer keeps telling me that the device is unknown with the USB connection (malfunctioned). I will definitely take the next step to remove the IT Policy. Hopefully, it will recognize the handheld in DM.

Yes, if you remove the IT Policy, you will still connect to DM.

I've re-installed both desktop manager, handset os, and updated USB drivers and modems from my carrier/blackberry website.

When I go to run the JL_Cmder the program states that it is connecting and then I receive a message saying "unable to connect port"

I don't know what to do now? I also tried using the Blackberry Swiss Army Knife Program and the phone will not connect. The BB DM is also not able to connect and I still don't have any use of applications on the handset. I have only been able to receive calls and nothing else.

Any other suggestions?? I'm thinking phone upgrade may be my easiest option (even though I don't want to dish out a few hundred bucks for a new phone
