| I now have two numbers but still not what I want I have had the 888# since my first Blackberry the 7100i. From day one I have had ONLY one number, it is not being forwarded or anything like that. It would not text at all.
When I purchased the 8350i I was hoping to be in the texting business, because the rep said, yep, it will do text. Well, yes and no. I could send, but not receive. Took the phone back, and he came up with the idea of keeping the 888# and giving me an ADDITIONAL number. He said your calls to 888 would go to voice mail and I could use the regular number to send texts with.
I went along, but like anybody else that is a customer of a business, they do not want to be forwarded to voicemail. I am not THAT big on texting anyway.
That is when I came up with the idea of forwarding the 888 calls that is my secondary number to the first "new" number. But no answers for that idea yet.
Also when I called the "tech" people at Southernlinc. they said it was the Blackberry that was not allowing the 888 texting, not anything they are doing or not doing.
This is SoutherLinc not Nextel, Boost, Sprint or the others.
I am trying to lay all the dirty laundry out here for all to see. Sorry, if this seems long winded.
Thanks again for your interest and please keep coming up with ideas or solutions.
