Default Password Keeper HELP at 7/10 before wipe out

Please Login to Remove!

I use password keeper a ton and have a lot of passwords stored in it. For some reason my password is not working, now at (7/10). I know it is the right password becuase I just opened it right before this happend.

What can I do to cover my self in case this wipes out my data?

Any idea why the password is not responding?

This is on a T mobile 8320, I have daily back ups of my data.

If it wipes it all out I am toast.

Thanks,

If it wipes it all out, you are not toast if you have backups. Just restore from Desktop Manager.

I don't know why it's not working... it's common that a user thinks they have a number or uppercase character and they really don't

Default It killed it!

I have backed up the phone before it wipped it out. Reinstalled from a back up file and it is asking for the old password. I know my pass word it correct but it still will not open. Lost 154 records.

Just to make sure I have also tryed every other password I use and it still will not open. NOW WHAT?

Why have you lost them? You STILL have the back up.

So, now, try this, reset your PK password to something VERY easy like "abcd".

Now, open DM > Backup/Restore > Advanced. Does your last backup appear in the left hand window pane? If not, chose File > Open and navigate to the last backup.

Now, in the left hand window pane, choose Password Keeper or Password Keeper data, and highlight it, then click the right facing arrow in the center, and follow the prompts.

You should be able to use your new password now on PK, and see your data.

I've heard of this kind of trouble only when someone was so lazy that they set a 2-digit or 3-digit password. On rare occasions when someone was lame enough to do this, their device stopped recognizing the password and the only thing to do was a wipe/restore.

I have not done an empty PK on my phone with a new password yet. I did put a back up PK file from Friday on phone. It is asking for the old password, the one that the phone does not remember.

I know everyone thinks I am the nut that canxxx8217;t remember my own password. I use that password about twice a day for the last five years. I know it is the right one. The password had two symbols six letter and two numbers all lower case.

Every password I have used at any point and time has also been put in with no success.

Went to RIM support last night and they couldn't help.

My next step will be to get another BB and put the PK data base on it and try to open it to make sure it is not something with my phone.

Any other tips?

Just to make absolutely sure, have you tried a battery pull?
