I want to erase AT&T software from my 8310 and replace it with T-mobile desktop. Tried to use "wipe handheld" feature but at&t still comes up. Also cannot format sd 2 gig card. Windows XP doesn't see my phone at all. All connections are good. Please advise me on how to correct this problem. Want to transfer music to my device, but can't!!! Lastly, media card support is set to off with no options to turn it on so i can access the other features. THis is Killing Me!!!!!:
Sounds like a couple of issues...
First off check to make sure the memory card is seated properly and locked. If you to to Options, Media Card and you don't have Media Card Support then your Blackberry isn't seeing the memory card. The first time you put a card it in can be tricky, and make sure you lock the media card or it might not be making contact, which is why the Blackberry isn't seeing the card.
As far as formatting the card, you probably don't need to, or I have always just put the card into the Blackberry and it works. If you have a card reader on your computer you might put it in that just to make sure that the card isn't bad.
Also, are you switching to T-Mobile from AT&T? If AT&T is your carrier I would use their software. If it is an AT&T phone it probably is locked to their network which could be why it still coming up AT&T.
