Unhappy Blinking Red Light

Please Login to Remove!

A friend of mine bought me a used device (not stolen/attached to contract) and sent it to me. The ESN works just fine, but the device does not. The LED blinks many times (4) and then off for a few seconds, repeating this cycle. The battery is charged and worked in another phone when I went into a Telus store. They couldn't help me. I tried using JL_Cmder and it didn't recognize the device after multiple tries, I also tried the suggested alternative method. It said USB-PIN: UNKNOWN. My Desktop Manager (I previously had a blackberry so I have all the appropriate software on my PC) said that there was no PIN and doesn't recognize a device, but my PC recognizes a Blackberry Smartphone. What is the deal? (OH and its not water damage as I checked the litmus paper)

Please, some insight would be great...

I'm no expert, but you could try looking at your notification options on your handset (profiles - advanced). Click down into whichever profile you've got as active. Then go into each application and look for the one(s) where repeat notification is "led flashing". Adjust your notifications to suit.

Did you try uninstall / reinstall the Desktop Manager?
Uninstall whatever version you currently have, and down load the latest version here.

Also, try the Blackberry Swiss Army Knife app.
