Angry round object that holds track ball in phone is broken...

Please Login to Remove!

so at the bottom of the round "device" that holds down the track ball, it has broken. those little spikes have all broken off.. i was able to super glue the "device" so something that is holding it in place, but i'm sure one more drop and it'll completely smash again.

does anyone know what can be done to fix this?

for a company that makes billions a year, they make cheap shit! i'm so pissed off.

Just buy a new chrome ring. They are inexpensive.

BlackBerry 81xx/83xx/88xx black trackball ring - Cellular Nationwide Network - Cellular Accessories

And please don't post using profanity. Thanks.

saara, replace the entire trackball assembly.
Maybe $15 bucks, try Horizon Wireless in my signature below.

I don't know what can be done for your attitude, that is more self-control.

That's just overkill, all you need is the ring.
And I'm pretty sure RIM intended for people to not bounce their blackberrys.

If you are buying the ring, you probably will appreciate a new trackball also. They are around $5 and make it like new again.

and, for a few more dollars, you get the whole assembly.

Mine fell out completely 'cause I broke the ring when trying to clean the ball. I'm with Verizon so I brought it into the store. They replaced the ball and the ring for free. I did however, buy a few extras to save a future trip though.
