I want to download a voice recorder to my computer (the VR+: Voice Recorder (v2.5.5) free 7 day trial) and my computer nor my blackberry desktop software recognizes the file types. I do not want to download it directly to my phone. But I am having trouble getting this program to my phone or to Blackberry Desktop software on my computer even. Please help!!

I am wondering - does vr+ require internet use on your phone? I just want to record on my phone and then transfer to desktop via usb and listen that way. I want to avoid using the internet on my phone cuz I have pay per use. Thanks.

You need to download the ZIP file and then unzip it on your computer and then use BlackBerry Desktop Manager to install it.

I installed my 2G SD micro card but my phone tells me I have less than 1GB free memory still. It seems to be installed right. Why isn't my phone recognizing the micro card?

I unzipped it but cannot get it to my Blackberry Desktop ... how do I do this?
ALso when I connect my phone it asks me if I want to enable mass storage? Should I? Not sure what this means.

Go to the Application Loader in BlackBerry Desktop Manager, click Browse, navigate to the folder to which you unzipped the files, click on the ALX file for the application and follow the rest of the prompts.

If you are trying to access the media files stored on the media card with your computer, then you want to put the device into Mass Storage Mode. If not, then you don't.
